Developed Project Management Systems for International App Rollout

Contracted in mid-2019, I was a key player in the photo operations team. My role as a production artist was both critical and varied. I handled materials crucial for an international app launch, a responsibility that called for a blend of quick action and meticulous accuracy.

As a crucial member of the photo operations team, my daily responsibilities were diverse and demanding. I managed time-sensitive materials essential for the international launch. Working in a small team, the volume of work was immense, and each task demanded a blend of speed and precision.

Managing High-Volume Tickets

One of my primary responsibilities was handling a high volume of tickets. On average, I personally processed and responded to around 60-70 tickets per week, ensuring that each one adhered to our high standards of quality and creativity. This task was akin to orchestrating a complex symphony where each request was a unique note. It was crucial to maintain efficiency and quality in every response, a challenge that honed my organizational and multitasking skills.

Revitalizing Legendary Imagery with Adobe Photoshop

A highlight of my role was transforming iconic 60s movie posters into contemporary digital materials using Adobe Photoshop. This task involved creatively reinterpreting these classic images for the 21st century, bridging a gap between eras. It was a delicate balance of respecting the original art while infusing modern elements.

Collaborating on Starz Originals and Lionsgate Productions

I also had the opportunity to work on promotional materials for Starz original shows like 'Outlander' and 'Power,' as well as Lionsgate studio productions. Each project required a deep understanding of the show's essence and audience, guiding my design choices to align with their unique narratives and styles.

The Impact and Learning Curve

This role was more than just design; it was about storytelling and contributing to the broader narrative of the brand. Every ticket managed, every classic poster reimagined, and every collaborative project was a step in my professional growth. The experience taught me the importance of adaptability, creative problem-solving, and teamwork in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. The materials I designed were part of an app rollout that reached over 10 million viewers worldwide, showcasing the international scope and influence of our work.

Reflecting on my time at Starz, it's clear that the experience was a pivotal chapter in my career. It underscored the importance of flexibility, creativity, and strategic thinking in production design, especially when working on a global scale. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to such significant projects and to have grown both professionally and personally through this role.
